Piano/Keyboard

I Started playing the piano at the age of six years old and was blessed to be put in classical piano lessons. I studied under the same teacher from when I was first put into lessons until I graduated from high school. While I was in high school I also studied jazz piano and played in a combo that would perform in the various jazz clubs/cafes in the Spokane area. I also played in the top ensemble in “Spokane All City Jazz” which was an organization for young people that wanted to play jazz in a setting that wasn’t just big band jazz. Once finished with high school, I moved to Boston to study piano at the Berklee College of Music, while at Berklee I joined a local alternative rock band called Geneva, whom I have been consistently gigging and recording with.

Bass

I picked up the bass when I was 12 when a friend asked me to play in his rock band, and ever since I’ve been obsessed with it. In high school I formed a band “Monke Business” with some friends and it turned into a pretty serious thing with countless gigs played, two albums recorded, and a live album recorded. While on a gig with Monke Business, one of the bigger artists in the pacific northwest, VIKA, noticed my playing and invited me to play bass in her band. With her I’ve recorded a bunch of singles, went on a small tour, and played many many shows all across the Pacific northwest. While at Berklee I still play and record with her from time to time.
